With the increasing numbers of violence comitted by or against young people lately, it can be concluded that all of those violence rooted on how the freedom of expression, the diversity of people’s background and the space for young people to explore their world are no longer valued as a important value in the society. The choosen theme of Festival Seperlima, “Being Different is Normal” is a reminder to the spirit of “Sumpah Pemuda” as a historical moment of Indonesian youth movement. To once again revitalize the spirit of “celebrating the differences”.

Held as a collaboration project between Pamflet, Pusat Keluarga Berencana Indonesia, Rahima, Pusat Kajian Gender dan Seksualitas Universitas Indonesia, Hivos and G Production, this festival aims to spread the spirit of diversity, and also to make some space for the youth to have a chance to share their creative ideas.

On this festival they also held an infographic poster competition to capture the aspirations of young people regarding some issues around them. The festival will be spiced up by musicians such as Tika & The Dissidents, SORE, Dialog Dini Hari, Risky Summerbee & The Honeythief, Witches, Polkawars, Harlan, Luky Annash, Zeke Khaseli, Folkagogo, and Geese & Wolf.
