The singer/songwriter/music composer Zeke Khaseli, best-known from his bands Zeke and the Popo and Lain made it into the nomination of The 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival under the “Best Music” category. Together with Yudhi Arfani, they are nominated for their music score for the movie “What They Don’t Talk About When They Talk About Love”, starring Nicholas Saputra and Ayushita.

First held in Tokyo in 1954, The Asia-Pacific Film Festival is amongst the most established film festivals over the last 50 years. In this 56th annual movie festival, Zeke is nominated alongside other prominent Asian music scorers such as Shigeru Umebayashi for The Grandmaster, Taro Iwashiro for Ask This of Rikyu, Jay Chou for The Rooftop, and Shane McLean for Mt. Zion.

Being the sole Indonesian representative for this festival, Zeke admitted that “It is truly a big honor for me and Yudi to be able to compete with big names in Asia such as Shigeru Umebayashi and Taro Iwashiro”.

Asides from “What They Don’t Talk About When They Talk About Love”, Zeke, alongside White Shoes and the Couples Company, Yirfani, Jirapah and others, is also the music scorer for the movie Rocket Rain.
