This play is an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s novella, “Metamorphosis.” It tells of Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman, who wakes from a nightmare only to find himself transformed into a cockroach. This metamorphosis has altered Gregor’s position: from the family’s pride and joy, into a repulsive vermin shunned by his own family. Will Gregor Samsa cease to be human, or will he regain his humanity?
