In 1847, Konrad Koch is appointed to a German grammar school as an English teacher. The classes there are determined by Prussian discipline and military drill. Despite the disdain of his colleagues, Koch starts teaching English to his scholars by using a different strategy: football – a sport which has been completely unknown to Germany until then. Sebastian Groblers film is based on a true historical event. whiteboardjournal, logo
