A Royal Night Out (2015)

On V.E. Night in 1945 the whole of London is on the streets to celebrate the official end of World War II in Europe. The future Queen of England, Elizabeth, and her sister Margaret, aged 19 and 14, are allowed out (incognito) to join the celebrations. It is a night full of excitement, danger and the first flutters of romance. The parents start to worry when the sisters are not home at 1am.

Acclaimed UK director Julian Jarrold (Becoming Jane, Brideshead Revisited) made an affectionate and charming comedy-drama.
