santai is based in cologne, germany and has its creative hub in yogyakarta, indonesia. the collection was created in a collaborative process between dennis pluemer, the founder, and renowned indonesian designers – like singgih s. kartono, eko prawoto and bagus prabowo.

santai furniture is produced by partnering enterprises and craftsmen from central-java with german support. each furniture is crafted in a two-layered process, using the latest machinery as well as long-grown manual skills.

santai’s goal is to create contemporary products that portray the true beauty of java and help to revitalize elements of local culture.
