The Running Lynchpin Exhibition

by Dwiputri Pertiwi

Our increasingly globalized world has given birth to a great deal of flexibility in the artistic field — so much so that traditions, which once dictated our beliefs and behavior, are beginning to lose their role. Geographical location no longer has the impact that it used to have on the development of an artist’s character — especially since the boom of technology and the Internet.

The question that emerges from such a situation is: What should we call our foundations? To try and make sense of the fluidity of our era, three Indonesian artists, Bagus Pandega, Theo Frids, and Satria T. Nugraha put their work together in the exhibition called Running Lynchpin.
