In Asmat language, Asmat-ow means a true man. Through this event, Asmat-ow.org invites every individuals to dive back into the authenticity of Asmat life and share hope for Asmat survival.

This is realized through the work of photos and text that will be on display as well as published in book form. All proceeds will be donated to service commercial education, health, and humanity in Asmat.

A total of 5 people who pass the selection will be sent to Agats, Papua, which became the capital of Asmat district in October 2013, during the Asmat Cultural Festival. The entire trip, accommodation, transportation, and an allowance, is paid by the organizers.

The judging panel consisted of Putu Fajar Arcana (writer), Frances Anggraini (Editor-in-Chief of Panorama Magazine), Arbaeen Rambey (Kompas Photographer), and Sonia Prabowo (Freelance Photographer).

1. Fill out a registration form which can be found in the downloadable www.asmat-ow.org
2. Selection process:

a. Registration period: 25 August to 17 September 2013.
Send up to 5 photos and articles at least 2,500 characters (without spaces), narrating your travel experience in Indonesia.

b. Hunting trip to Asmat: 28 September to 12 October 2013
