Wonder how Indonesians are so crazy for their Minang food?

You will experience an inspiring tutorial cooking provided by the utmost talented barefoot chef from Payakumbuh, a wealthy agricultural city located in north east of Bukittinggi, which produces top notch rice, buffalo milk, palm sugar, and of course, indigenous cuisines that surprisingly so easy to make..

As many of you might generalize all west sumatra food as Padang food, found in many Padang restaurants, after this cooking session, you are guaranteed to be able to specify the real Padang/Minang/Melayu food culture, why rendang is different from kalio and gulai, and how singgang is considered as a cooking technique, not as merely a particular dish..

Asam Padeh Daging Kacang Merah
Spicy sour stewed beef shanks with red beans, asam gelugor, and spices

Singgang Ayam
Free range chicken cooked in singgang style (stewed on top of banana leaves) with spices, coconut milk, and turmeric leaves

Assorted Sambal with Vegetables
