As a highlight to our Jazz-programme in 2014, 28 young musicians of the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra are stopping by in Indonesia as part of their concert tour through Southeast Asia. In Indonesia they will be giving concerts in Bandung, Jakarta and Surabaya. The orchestra will play a mixture of Swing Classics and Modern Jazz, Latin Jazz, Jazz Rock and even Hip Hop.
The young musicians will interpret works by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Thad Jones, Pat Metheny, but will also play compositions and arrangements produced by orchestra members and teachers.

The Bavarian State Youth Orchestra is one of the best Youth Orchestras in Germany and includes 400 young musicians from ages 10-25. every year they play about 20 con- certs in Bavaria as well as on tour at home and abroad. These concerts provide proof of the orchestra’s stylistic range, spontaneity, creativity and improvisational talent. whiteboardjournal, logo
