Y : Collect is RUCI’s effort to provide a platform to introduce to the broader public the idealism and significance of art collecting. It is a celebration and an homage to individuals who have supported the development of Indonesia’s contemporary art through private collecting.

Artist, galleries, art institutions, collectors, and the public together build parts of our cultural foundation. As Indonesian’s contemporary art evolve, there is a need to keep the discourse of private collecting relevant. It is through the seperate, but collective act of collecting that a living culture is advanced. Therefore as a gallery, an extensions of a cultural body, it is important for RUCI to provide an open platform to the public on the topic of art and art collecting.
