Featuring hand-painted rare photographs of Grace Jones’ visit to Bali in 1997

Most well known for his striking images of Grace Jones, Swiss-Italian photographer Pier Poretti takes a very different approach to his art. Always shooting in black and white, he then tints the monochrome prints by hand to add accents of colour.

It was during the mid ‘70s, when Poretti was living and working in Paris as a photographer, that he first met Grace Jones. Her avant-garde style and striking features appealed to his imagination and his distinctive photography style seemed to perfectly capture her flair.

Years later the pair met again in Poretti’s island home of Bali where they embarked on ten days of shooting at locations across the island. To this day, the two remain close friends, working on a visual book together entitled, Put More Grace in Your Eyes.

The exhibition will remain open for public viewing until 10th October, 2016.
