Things We Like: Go-To Self Care Activities

Kumpulan aktivitas self-care pilihan kami.

by Whiteboard Journal

Streaming “Yuta at Home” + Soju

Description:

Tiap Jumat malam jam 21:00 – 22:00 WIB streaming radio show member NCT 127 di Radio InterFM897, nama acaranya “Yuta at Home”. Ribet sih dia ngomong bahasa Jepang gw ga ngerti. Tapi ya udah enjoy playlist dia aja sambil minum soju menutup weekdays.

Acara dia cuma ada tiap Jumat dan bakal selesai di bulan Februari ini 🙁

What:

Sleep

Description:

I need at least 12 hours of sleep and if I don’t meet that quota, best believe I will make up for it in any possible situation. I don’t need much, just let me sleep in peace.

What:

Yoga with Adriene

Description:

At this point, Adriene feels like my roommate. I see her almost every day, I hear her voice whenever I walk up and down the stairs (“move from your center”), whenever I’m stressed (“loosen the skin on your forehead, relax your jaw”), and I feel bad if I don’t roll out my mat in the morning. I feel like Benji is my soul brother, and we’re just happy to be lounging around by Adriene’s mat, gazing out the window, looking for passing deer (I think she lives in a forest with elves, IDK).

I’ve also surprised myself by committing and finishing the 30-day yoga challenge in the beginning of January, because prior to the quarantine, I would never finish anything. Turns out I just need a little bit of accountability and a relaxed, non-judgemental practice. Thank you for showing up.

What:

STARDEW VALLEY

Description:

Just bought this game at the end of last year and I’m OBSESSED with this. It’s the mostttt wholesome game ever. Couple weeks ago, I spent the whole weekend trying to rearrange my farm and this is how my farm looks like as per now. (But i haven’t had any chance to play with again bcs i have no self-control lmao)

What:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Description:

Almost one year since the launch date, and yes, I still play this game on a daily basis. I wake up to Isabelle’s daily announcement, I shake all of my trees, dig all fossils, go on about my day, and I end the day by winding down on my bed, spending hours on fishing and catching bugs. When I get bored of it, I restart my island and do it all over again. It satisfies my craving for a set of daily routine; one of many things I have briefly lost the concept of during the early days of pandemic and have been working on getting back.

What:

Nike Training Club

Description:

I used to hate working out (yes, the bold and underline is very much needed), BUT EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED DURING THE PAST 11 MONTHS. Basically, NTC is THE perfect app for training at home, in the gym or on the road, with everything from bodyweight-only to full-equipment workouts for everyone at all fitness levels. Working out with NTC has helped me release all the anger and frustration, and it has been very effective to help me cope with all the anxiety as well. Thanks to quarantine, now I have a routine schedule of doing NTC at least 4-5 times a week (who is sheeeee?). These are some of my favorite programs from the app:

1. Tanktop Arms – for them guns
2. Sunset Stretch – really helped to slow down your breath.
3. Quick-Hit Abs – bonus point: you’ll get a laugh everytime Christiano Ronaldo cheers you up.

The app is available to purchase on iOS and Android. whiteboardjournal, logo
