Wahono is a New York City based music producer and DJ from Jakarta, Indonesia. During his college years, he ventured from being a multi-instrumentalist into the world of audio engineering, and sound design. In his music, he explores deconstructed rhythmic relationships, dissociative harmonic perceptions, and textural composition – together with any unlikely ideas that can continue to stretch his sonic palette. He fuses and breaks down elements taken from the vast sub-genres of contemporary music to craft his own unyielding musical narratives that are aimed to penetrate the mind and the body. Wahono’s approach to DJ-ing is equally as adventurous as his productions – bridging gaps and defying genre barriers that can be limiting to the selection process. Today, he is involved as a co-writer, producer, and engineer behind INES, Aton, and Oyinda. In December 2015, he will be releasing his first solo EP ‘Circumvent’.
