Europe on Screen is back again with best films of Europe on 29 April-8 May 2016 in Jakarta, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.

Georges Méliès Program
France

Georges Méliès was a French magician and filmmaker. He made over 500 films. He was famous for his use of special effects and hand-painted color films. We made a chronological selection of his films, starting in 1898 and ending in 1911. Included is his most known film A trip to the moon (1902).

These silent movies are accompanied by music that is especially composed for the films by 7 composing students of the Sjuman School of Music.
