Indyra is among a few Indonesian woman contemporary artist that is well known for her skill and technique. Her idealism circles around personal identity issues and womanhood. The figure on her canvases are her “dairy book”, where she tells her life. Her paintings are more symbolic, altough the sensuality still shows on the canvas. Indyra paints traditional crowns on the head of the figure to portray a realm and brings a spiritual experience into reality.
