As you might have noticed, Donald Byrd, the magnificent trumpeter and all round musician passed away last week at the age of 80. In honour of his life and his contribution to music in general and jazz in particular, Fat Cat Ffonz has prepared an hour-long show of his favourite Donald Byrd tracks: from the depths of hard bop up to his funky period and back again.
