STELLA EFFERCIO

A solo exhibition by Glenda Sutardy.

Stella Effercio Latin for “Star Stuff”, Glenda finds clarity in her works by delving deeper into process and meditative pleasure. She employs the sublime; organic powders, suspended in polymers and oils for their translucency, earthiness and their traditional ties to ancient artists and the pure craft of painting.
Exploring the notion of spiritual existence through the natural world of time and memory, she discovers a parallel divine energy interconnecting everything.
The huge visionary works that she calls meditative icons, do indeed have the effect of drawing the viewer into an alternative yet ever present reality, and join us into her vision of an inter-connective multiverse.
