Unfinished Business

On the 2nd of June 2017 the exhibition “Unfinished Business” of the Dutch painter Rob Renoult will be opened at 18.00 hrs!

The exhibition combines various elements of the Indonesian imagery with the image of Western Art. Prints of original batik stamps in a ‘decorative’ pattern of repetition are combined with composition schemes and color schemes inspired by the imagery of Pop Art (Andy Warhol), Abstract Expressionism (Jackson Pollock) and the ideas of Yves Klein related to Indonesia and Asia. Furthermore the series ‘Propinsie – Province’ will be shown. This series of paintings is referring to the province of Friesland, where the painter was born, and from the Indonesian ‘propinsie’ Ambon, where his roots are.
